I’m always on the look out for ways to streamline travel. It’s great to be able to get away for a break with an organised and comprehensive kit including your toiletries. Travel is so much more comfortable and enjoyable when you have what you need with you. I’ve been trying out a washbag from Trendhim which has plenty of room for organisation and storage.
I picked out the Lucleon navy blue grover waxed canvas roll out washbag because it had a lot of organisation and looked very practical to use on a trip. Its looks were another key part of the appeal: it’s beautifully presented, traditional and good quality. I love the blue and black colour scheme of this toiletry bag. It’s good to know that it is crafted from high-quality leather and waxed canvas, so it should wear well and look good for a long time. There’s a flap cover with genuine leather straps and buckles to fasten shut. I liked the fact that it had real buckles, but sometimes for speed it’s good to have poppers instead for fastening. You do need to enlarge the holes slightly to make the fastening easy to use. Also good to note that it’s water repellent, which is handy for a bathroom piece of kit.
The soft, cotton-lined interior offers a number of storage options: there are two zippered bags, two slip pouches and a press-stud fastened pocket. The larger of the two zipped bags is easily detachable for travel purposes. I use the smaller, long, thin zipped bag for my toothbrush and paste. It’s great to keep these items separate and keep the brush clean. The two slip pouches are great for holding a razor or tall thin bottles. For me the press-stud fastened pocket is a great place for medication and other small items.

The main pocket has a zip fastening. By the way the zippers have leather pull handles on them which is a nice touch. This pocket is detachable – you attach it to the main bag with poppers. This adds extra versatility. You can easily move items between the bathroom and the bedroom for instance when you are staying in a hotel. The pocket is the best place to store larger bottles and tubs of toiletries.
One of the handiest features is that it comes with a handy metal hook for hanging upright, if you’re short on table space. I love to use this to hang my bag up on a bathroom door or anywhere where there’s a suitable hook. You could hang it over a shower screen for instance. The hook folds in for travel and out when you arrive at your destination.
Overall the bag is tough and hardwearing, but it also looks like a classic gentleman’s piece of travel kit. It really looks the business, but it’s also practical too. You can’t hold too much in it though, so it does force you to streamline what you pack, which I tend to think is a good thing.
Disclosure: I was sent the travel wash bag for the purposes of this review.

This looks so smart, it really would make a lovely gift. So good to have everything organised when you go away on holiday.
Thank you for such a comprehensive detailed review. I am thinking of getting one of these for my husband.
